This is my new favorite color paint. I bought it at Walmart for just under $5. It has the primer and paint all in one. And is sprays on so easily and smoothely. And the color of Ivory, beige, off white (whatever you want to call it) is sooo pretty. This picture of the can just does not do the color justice.
I have spray painted picture frames, "bling boards" (like the one below) and right now I am working on a chair (for the chair I think I am actually going to use the semi-gloss version). Then I destress them and antique them. I am going to go to Lowe's and have them color match it I love the color so much. The picture below is even a little lighter then what it actually looks like. Go try it. I promise if you are looking for the perfect off white you will like this.Ignorant Thoughts of a Stay at Home Mom

My thoughts...
My 8 year old son was quite devastated last night. I always forget how closely these
children listen to us and look up to what we have to say. So I was trying
to talk to him about all the good in the world out there and what exciting
times we live in, in this gospel. Last night he asked me how old he had
to be to run for President of the USA. J
When I told him he had to wait 27 years he was not happy. LOL! So
we talked about what he can do now and what he can do when he graduates from
high school and goes on a mission and so forth. (So proud of that boy!)
Anyway,
so it got me thinking too. We really do live in exciting times when it comes to
the Lord’s church. And now because of Romney everyone knows a little bit
about Mormon’s. When I was a Nanny in PA the majority of the people over
there had never even heard of a Mormon. I am sure that we will have GREAT
missionary moments because of this! How exciting!! The Lords work
is not done. He knew what he was doing when he put Romney in as a
Presidential candidate (yes, I do believe that this is what the Lord
intended). His plan is continuing and I am so excited to be a part of it.
Pres. Monson said, “The Future is as Bright as your Faith.”
The
following is from a talk from Pres. Hinckley back in 2007:
The
key to the success of the work will be the faith of all who call themselves
Latter-day Saints.
The
time has now come to turn about and face the future. This is a season of a
thousand opportunities. It is ours to grasp and move forward. What a wonderful
time it is for each of us to do his or her small part in moving the work of the
Lord on to its magnificent destiny.
“And
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matt. 24:14).
Something,
my brothers and sisters, is happening in this Church, something wonderful. As
we walk in the small world of our individual wards and branches we are scarcely
aware of it. And yet it is real, and it is tremendous. We are growing. We are
expanding. Enough people will come into the Church this year to constitute more
than 600 new wards or branches. (talk by Gordon B Hinckley, 1997)

Election Day
Well lets hope people are smart and and vote Obama out today. I don't think I can even look at the news, I am getting a stomach ache. I am kind of scared that Obama is going to win. I thought Romney had a very good chance of winning until Hurricane Sandy came. All Obama had to do was look like he was concerned and now everyone thinks he is the greatest guy in the world! Come on people!!! We are smarted than that! Look at the last 4 years! One thing he did at the last of his 4 years (and by the way, I don't think he did much for Sandy) and all of a sudden you think he is a great President! Seriously!?

Watching the Debates right now.
I had to DVR it because I had to go to Pack Mtg for Cub Scouts. I am reading posts also on FB on comments about it. Here is what a gal posted on her page:
Obama is an IDIOT!!!! Delete me if you like him, because you're and IDIOT TOO!!!
This made me laugh!!! If I even posted this on my page I would have been in such big trouble by some family. But I thought it was the best!
The AZ law IS a model for the nation Pres. Obama, I agree with Romney!! Are you jealous O.B?!!! "I don't look at my pension, it's not as big as yours?" Why does he make rich people look like they are bad people!!!???
Way to be a missionary Romney! "My passion probably flows from the fact that I believe in God." Hurray! Love, love, love it.

My Thoughts on Last Nights VP Debates...
"If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest." Proverbs 29:9
If your plan of attack is to laugh and roll your eyes at your opponent every time he speaks then I think you are not confident it your own material... Biden you look like a bully and a jerk. Laughing and rolling your eyes makes you look like you are making fun of Ryan so that you can try to lift yourself up. Sounds like you have a esteem issues.
Oh, and don't get me started on your faith. You call yourself a practicing Catholic yet you are for abortion and you are making your own church make changes in their health care and go against what they believe.
Ryan's response to about his faith, "I don't see how a person can separate their public life from their private life or from their faith."
"Our faith informs us in everything we do," he added. "My faith informs me about how to take care of the vulnerable, about how to make sure that people have a chance in life." Well said Ryan! :0)
Biden reminds me of Harry Reid and his faith. So sad.
I think moral values are being destroyed in this country by Hollywood and the Left! And I pray that we can take this country back soon to what our Founding Fathers and our Heavenly Father intended it to be or we are in big trouble.

MSNBC is Misleading...
Check out this article from the Blaze. Mitt Romney is getting ready to give a speach. The crowd is chanting Romney, Romney, Romney... He stops it and has the chant Romney/Ryan... MSNBC shows it as the crowd saying Ryan, Ryan, Ryan... But callers to the Blaze and CSPAN show it as the Romney, Romney, Romney...

Have I Done Any Good in the World Today?
My children go to a charter school. We do not have free lunches at our school. You can buy hot meals but it is not through the state. A lot of things are donated to the school.
Anway, I have such a good boy. He came home yesterday from school and asked if he could bring six snacks to school the next day instead of his 3 snacks plus his lunch . He said his friend in class only gets a sandwich in his lunch box. When Andrew asked him why the boy told him that is all his family could afford.
I am so proud of him for thinking about the other person. Needless to say I packed him 3 extra snacks today and emailed his teacher to find out what is going on and what we can do to help.
